  • 40min

About 40 minutes to arrive to Cat Lai Port

It is located approximately 30km (40 minutes to arrive) from Vietnam's largest port, Cat Lai port, which handled approximately half of the total annual container handling volume in all of Vietnam in 2015.

  • 60min

About 60 minutes to arrive to the Cai Mep - Thi Vai new deep-water Port

It is located approximately 40km (about 60 minutes to arrive) from the port of Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port, which is 14m deep and can accommodate large vessels with a mass of over 100,000 tons. In the past, Vietnam did not have a port that could accommodate large ships, so transshipment to other countries was necessary. However, with the opening of the Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port, direct trade with Japan, China, Europe, and the United States has become possible. This significantly reduces costs and delivery times. In 2023, there are 13 ports in operation.

  • 39 - 44min

A land area with an elevation of approximately 39 - 44 meters above sea level, so there is no need to worry about flooding

The location also has a ground bearing capacity of 10 to 15 tons per square meter, which is expected to reduce costs and shorten the construction period for factory construction.

AFTER FOUNDING

WHY VIETNAM

  • POINT 01

Abundant relatively, cheap and high-quality labor

Vietnam's population is about 99 million people, ranking third in Southeast Asia. The working-age population accounts for 55% of the total population, making it a labor-abundant country.
In terms of labor costs, Vietnam is also relatively cheap compared to countries in the ASEAN region, giving it a relative advantage.
In addition, Vietnamese people are generally skilled and good at acquiring technology, and the Government is also making efforts to train high-level human resources.

  • POINT 02

    Infrastructure is under development

Vietnam is still in the process of development, therefore, investment in infrastructure accounts for a large proportion of the national expenditure. Additionally, the development of airport, seaport, road, and electricity supply infrastructure is being improved year by year.
Furthermore, alongside the improvement of transportation infrastructure and the reduction of travel time, it will help minimize logistics costs.

  • POINT 03

    Growth Potential

Vietnam has a young average age of 33 years and a large labor force, and has great potential for future growth.
In addition, the Vietnamese government has set a goal of moving away from the status of a lower-middle income country, and becoming a developing country with modern industry by 2025, which marks the 50th anniversary of the unification of the North and South. And the government is proactive in attracting manufacturing companies with advanced technologies, with an eye to solving issues such as the establishment of supply chains and the development of highly skilled human resources.

  • POINT 04

    Open Market Economy

Vietnam is a socialist country, but in 1986, Vietnam turned to an economic reform path known as the Doi Moi policy, adopting capitalist mechanisms such as opening up the economy to the outside world and expanding corporate autonomy.
As a result, Vietnam achieved rapid development driven by foreign direct investment (FDI), and continues to maintain an increasing trend even today. In addition, for economic structural reform, Vietnam has concluded FTAs with nearly 100 countries, aiming to integrate into the international economy and business environment with a wide range of countries, participated in global supply chains, strengthen and enhance the capacity of Vietnamese industries through competition with other countries, and promote supporting industries.

  • POINT 05

    Good Japan-Vietnam relations

Vietnam is known as a pro-Japanese country and maintains good political and economic relations with Japan.
Vietnam celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam in November, 2023. Japan-Vietnam relations were upgraded to a "comprehensive strategic partnership" to further deepen the relations for the economic development of both countries and this create a favorable business environment for companies expanding into Vietnam.
